A dental vacation in Turkey takes 5–7 days for veneers and two separate trips for implants.

Choosing‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ to fly overseas for dental work really changes your schedule, and you need to trust the people you work with. When patients are scheduling their trips to Turkey, they tell us that their main concern is the schedule. How many days will it take? How long will the hotel booking be?

The truth is, the answer depends entirely on you. A rapid change for aesthetics will require a completely different plan than surgery. From our experience at Lema Dental Clinic, we realize that having clear schedules is very important. They ensure your trip will be safe and stress-free.

Check your itinerary for these amazing procedures below.

Want to get rid of the dents in your teeth? Porcelain veneers are the way to go. Treatments like this don’t take much time.

Dentist Polen Akkılıç is a master at working with the details, even if she is going quickly. A new smile is like a custom-made suit. You need to measure exactly, and then only a skilled craftsman can execute the details.

So, for a full set of veneers, allocate around 5 to 7 days for your trip to Turkey.

Here is what we schedule during that week:

  • Day 1: We discuss and do the digital X-rays. Then, we gently get your teeth ready and apply the temporary on the same day.
  • Days 2 and 3: Our lab specialists make your customized porcelain veneers. Meanwhile, you can freely explore the city.
  • Days 4 and 5: We check if the fit and the color are good. After getting your approval, we do the bonding.
  • Day 6: We perform the final bite check to see if it is perfect.

But what if the problem is missing teeth? Dental implants are different from simple veneers. They involve oral surgery.

If done, a dental implant is somewhat like building a house. Before the roof construction, there should be a strong foundation. Your jawbone plays that role.

Prof. Dr. Coşkun Yıldız always says that a patient has a natural healing clock. The deposition of bone around the implant is the stable fixation. It simply can’t be rushed; that is why dental implant treatment is virtually always two separate visits to Turkey.

Trip 1: The Surgery (3 to 7 Days)

When you come for your first appointment, any hopeless teeth will be extracted and the implants inserted. After a few days’ rest, you return to your home.

The Healing Time (3 to 6 Months)

Naturally, you will be waiting for your implant integration while sitting at home. You will be equipped with temporary teeth. The ability to speak and eat during the time will not be a problem at all.

Trip 2: The Final Teeth (7 to 10 Days)

The last question is, what is the last thing? After the implants are fully integrated, you come back to Lema Dental Clinic. We take impressions again. After that, the final crowns are made in all their glory.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to stay in my hotel room all week?

Not at all. You should look forward to your holiday just like other tourists when you also arrive in the area and want to see some famous places and try some local food while you are at it. Once the dentists finish your prep for veneers, the lab will be doing its work while you are free. The more active you stay, the less traumatic the whole procedure will feel, which is why we encourage you to do some sightseeing. If, however, you had implant surgery, just do pool resting for the first two days.

Can I get implants and veneers on the same trip?

Yes, it is possible to start the two treatments together. If you had the implant on one side and veneers in your front teeth, these treatments would both be conducted during your first trip. You will be going back home with new veneers in the front and temporary teeth in the back. You just have to come back to the clinic for the final crowns for the implants.

What if I do not have enough bone for implants?

This is a very common situation. Some people have very thin bones, and in this case, special methods will be applied. The strongest bones in the face can be utilized with the help of Zygomatic implants. Your first trip might be a little longer than usual, but in any case, the two-trip procedure stands.

Will I walk around without teeth while I heal?

No way! Patient comfort is our priority. Usually, we hand over to you a temporary smile right away. You will leave the clinic with a set of teeth while your implants are healing.

How many days should I book my flight for veneers?

Plan for a full week. We often finish in 5 days, but a two-day buffer is smart. It gives our lab time to make tiny changes to the color or shape. We want your smile to be ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌perfect.
